Talents Induction and Development

Developing people from the very StartinG

Training and development of talented employees is a part of long-term strategy of Société Générale in Belarus. Our philosophy is to improve knowledge and skills primarily through on-the-job training and transfer of internal expertise. We also fully support internal mobility, which is a natural lever for employee development.

Induction

Getting started in a new job is not easy. New responsibilities, new colleagues, lots of new things to learn in a very short space of time. This can be rarely achieved without some form of advice or assistance...

“StartinG”, the Group’s professional integration programme, supports the integration of each new employee for the first few months within the company. This programme was launched in 2008 in France and is now deployed all over the Group. A Group Induction seminar was held in Paris in 2010, attended by 1,321 new recruits from 57 countries.

It includes:

  • an induction process for the employee’s first few days to introduce the Group, its strategy, professions, values, as well as the employee’s entity and team;
  • an e-learning module to improve knowledge on the Group and the banking industry;
  • participation in an integration seminar of the Group Société Générale “Group Integration Day” in Paris.

Training for Career Development

We provide our employees with various internal and external training programs and courses to expand their skills and qualifications for their existing positions or to prepare for career development within Belrosbank and/or the Societe Generale Group international entities.

The main areas of education are:

  • Development of commercial skills (sales skills, primarily)
  • Development of management and communication skills
  • Induction and development programs (induction of newcomers and special development programs for existing employees)
  • Specialized training (IT, Risk, Finance, Marketing, etc.)
The professional development of employees contributes to the Group's development. For this reason, at Société Générale, career management is based on close collaboration between employees, managers and HR professionals. Using innovative tools and processes, the Group’s objective is to recognize the skills and performance of each employee and to support employees throughout their careers to enhance their potential.

Identifying and Retaining Talents

For us to constantly improve our services and come up with new products, we must provide our employees with favourable conditions to develop their potential. By identifying, developing and retaining talented employees we are investing in the future.

Diversity is one of Société Générale’s fundamental principles. Belrosbank, the Group entity in Belarus, is adherent of talent promotion. Everyone has the opportunity of career and professional growth. Show us your quality and they will be supported and developed within the Group!

The Group HR policies

Our Group HR policies formalise our values and convictions, inform HR practices and career management programs for all employees.
