Welcome to Komercni banka, one of the largest and most successful banks in the Czech Republic.

I would compare a team of Komercni banka employees to a large symphony orchestra. Each employee has a role to play, complementing their colleagues with their own knowledge, skills and experience. Together, we create a unique whole.

Managing careers in an orchestra of 8 thousand people, where everyone has different needs, expectations and goals, is not easy. Employees on maternity/paternity leave
  • In terms of the career management process, we devote special care to employees on maternity/paternity leave - we always try to find a solution, striving to combine the interests of the bank with those of our employees, i.e. harmonize their professional and personal lives. Our aim is to provide these employees with better conditions for a smoother return to work after their maternity/paternity leave and allow them to fit back more easily into their career paths.
  • We are open to alternative workloads - we allow for solutions such as part-time working, flexible working hours, working from home and job-sharing.

Employees surveys

Employees are our greatest asset and we care about their opinions. To enable us to better target their requirements and wishes, we use internal surveys, which provide us with valuable feedback from employees on a whole range of topics.

"I have been working at Komerční banka since 2003 as a Project manager. I had initially worked in Investment banking on projects aimed at software implementation and development and process changes. After three years, I moved to Human Resources. I do not regret this move; I am particularly interested in career management and employee development projects, not least for the philosophical aspects and the possibility of take part in and drawing inspiration from discussions on people management methodology and quality. I am currently on parental leave, during which I am able to work part time. I am thankful for the opportunity of being a mother while, at the same time, working, creating and remaining in touch with my colleagues and the job I like. This combination gives me a broader perspective, both at home and at work."
