Societe Generale Maroc is a universal bank that was founded in 1913 and is managed in compliance with international standards laid down by its majority shareholder Societe Generale (56.94%). The Societe Generale Maroc group incorporates over ten subsidiaries, each of them very active in its field of business.



The Societe Generale Maroc bank is partner to numerous multinationals and large Moroccan corporations. It is active in all sectors of the economy: tourism, textiles, food and agriculture, energy, telecoms and finance. Societe Generale Maroc has shown its capacity to manage large scale transactions, granting syndicated loans, consulting on mergers and acquisitions and financing key development projects.

Societe Generale Maroc operates in three key areas:
The Commercial Bank: cash flow management, short term and investment loans to business, deposit-taking and loans for individuals, foreign trade, etc.
The Finance and Corporate Bank, with a wide range of products and services: structured finance, merger, acquisition and partnership transactions, consultancy, stock-broking, exchange and currency products, etc.
Private and Institutional Management: asset management (short and long term bonds, diversified and monetary shares) stock-broking, property fund management and investment, wealth management, advice to institutional investors, and so on.


Financial leasing: Sogelease was created in 1981 and is the leader in its field, with over 20% market share and top-flight Moroccan and international clients in its portfolio.


Vehicle fleet leasing and management: created in 2001 as an equal partnership with the ONA group, ALD Automotive is the market leader in vehicle leasing.


EQDOM

Consumer credit: Eqdom was bought by Societe Generale in 2002 and is Morocco’s leading consumer credit provider.


Marocaine VIE

Life-insurance: this company was acquired by the Societe Generale group in 2001 and is among the most active in the Moroccan life-insurance market.


Sogecapital bourse

Stock broking: Sogecapital Bourse was founded in 1995 and is one of the leaders in field; in addition to classic stock broking, the company offers top quality investor advice and research services which have been praised on several occasions by Reuters and Euromoney.


Sogecapital gestion

Mutual fund management: Sogecapital Gestion was created in 1996 and offers a diverse range of funds which regularly post the best financial performances in the marketplace; the company achieved AIMR certification in 2002.


Tanger Offshore

Off-shore banking: founded in 2002 to serve foreign trade finance operations and off-shore company projects.


Investima

Holdings: Investima was created in 1974 to help Moroccan or multinational investors set up or extend industrial and commercial deals based on equity capital holdings.


Sogecontact

The 1st Banking Customer Relations Centre in Morocco, a multi-channel banking player and a way of winning over customers and gaining their loyalty. Its main roles: providing information, listening, advising, providing customer service and assistance, commercial rebound, setting up meetings, recovery, etc.
