In a difficult economic environment, knowing how to meet the needs of clients in terms of financing, raising capital and risk hedging is crucial for a bank. It is the primary mission of SG CIB Global Finance division which ranks among the world leaders in those activities.

SG CIB Global Finance division plays a key role in financing the global economy: by supporting our clients (mainly corporates but also financial institutions, local authorities, sovereigns as issuers or borrowers) in their approach to funding, we enable them to sustain and grow their businesses. This can be for current needs (sales, inventory, etc.), long-term investments, acquisitions of assets or companies, hedging foreign exchange risk, interest rate or inflation in collaboration with the Global Markets' teams, or building and optimising their capital structure.

Originator

You analyse and understand the issues clients face in capital markets, suggest solutions to their needs, develop strong commercial relationships and increase Societe Generale’s market share. To achieve these objectives, you analyse and process market information and produce the proposals that you and your team present in coordination with other business lines and with coverage. 
You show strong interpersonal skills, excellent commercial and communication abilities, outstanding financial modeling and evaluation capacity, excellent organisation, autonomy and adaptability to help you succeed in this demanding and highly competitive environment.

Syndicator

Your mission is to review, study and analyse transactions and to advise on pricing and distribution strategy thanks to your specific knowledge of market conditions in the loan or bond capital market. In particular, you play an active part in the origination, structuring, underwriting and within the risk approval process. Once your team is mandated, you ensure the syndication is appropriately executed and coordinated to achieve best distribution. 
Analytical and negotiation skills, as well as your knowledge of the market, are essential attributes.

Financing specialists

This position calls for both technical and commercial skills. You work on local or international projects that require high level financing solutions and the solving of tax, law or accounting issues. Client focus is at the heart of your business. You cooperate with other business lines to draw up term-sheets and financial offers, carry out cash flow modeling and operational analysis for Credit Committees and are closely involved in negotiations with risk, syndication and legal experts.

Leveraged and Media Telecom Finance

You will join a highly experienced team serving global private equity and media & telecom with a focus on high-quality acquisition targets.

Natural Resources and Energy Finance

You are the specialist that deals with project finance or solutions in Trade Finance and Structured Commodity Finance across the Commodity chain (including soft and hard commodities). You conduct feasibility studies, structure operations, and follow transactions through in close cooperation with both the client and internal teams.

Export Finance

Your role as an arranger in credit structuring lets you negotiate and put export credit in place. You develop expertise on emerging countries and follow the position on all key players (credit export agencies, private insurers, other banks …).

Infrastructure and Asset Based Finance

You are an expert when it comes to motorways, pay parking, and toll road finance in France and Europe. You also research hospital, prison and other public sector projects. You help to shape complex tax lease, cross-border structures for big companies, sectors and local and regional administrations.
This position calls for both technical and commercial skills for local or international projects that require high level financing solutions and which require tax, law or accounting issues solved. Client focus is at the heart of your business.

Security Services

You will join one of the key components of Societe Generale’s structured finance activities focused on Asset Backed Securities “ABS” for medium and long term assets and Asset Backed Commercial paper “ABCP” for shorter assets. You will deal with a large number of asset classes such as trade receivables but also auto loans, equipment leases, credit cards...

Sales

You sell tailored derivatives solutions to either big corporate clients, or local authorities. You pick the right products to pitch, advise on potential risks and follow up on the transactions. You sustain existing relationships and are constantly on the look-out for opportunities to develop cross-selling and multiple business line projects. You combine extensive knowledge of financial markets with detailed understanding of Interest Rates Derivatives and Forex Derivatives for Corporates.
