Responsibilities

Assist the seniors in managing and growing AFG’s business in the region, working with other AFG teams in Asia-Pacific
Provide integrated financing and debt advisory services to clients with an emphasis on structured lending (corporate, leveraged, TMT and event-driven)
Originate and execute business in accordance with SG’s policies and guidelines
Become part of the core team leading the credit process (preparing formal requests, comprehensive financial models, term sheets and transaction docs) and structure transactions in liaison with the help of external advisors, within agreed credit risk limits
Monitor deals throughout their life cycle and provide critical input as and when required (through credit reviews and periodic reporting)
Train junior members of the staff

Profile required

Academic Background And Certifications, Experience

Bachelor’s/Master’s in accounting, business or finance
Minimum 3-5 years of experience, with good knowledge of structured financing and lending on a recourse and non-recourse basis
Strong skills in debt structuring & advisory, ideally some knowledge of rating methodologies
Strong skills in credit risk assessment, including modelling, financial analysis and legal documentation
Fluent in English language

Department Description

Part of the Investment Banking Division of Société Générale, Advisory & Financing Group (“AFG”) is at the forefront of serving SG’s clients across Asia-Pacific.

With offices in Europe, Americas and Asia, the business unit supports companies and entities on their strategic financing (event-driven) and debt advisory requirement.

Within Asia, AFG supports key clients in the region and serves our large European client base on cross border transactions and looks after a newly created TMT Financing segment as part of SG’s global franchise. This includes providing corporate structured and leveraged finance solutions to entities across a variety of industries.

The team also delivers rating advisory solutions to support SG’s debt capital markets franchise.
