Analyst (Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager) - Finance, SG Bank India (Mumbai)
Responsibilities
Job Summary :-
Head Office Reporting, regulatory reporting, Financial accounting and Tax Management
Main Responsibilities:-
1. Head Office Reporting: -
Monthly reporting of the financial data in Head Office Tools in accordance with French GAAP and IFRS in a timely manner. Effectively liaising with the Head office team and responding to various queries raised by them.
2. Tax Management (Mutualized setup for SG Mumbai entities): - The below mentioned is managed for two entities,
• Preparation of Tax Audit and Transfer Pricing reports, Filing of Tax Returns (Corporate & TP)
• Preparation and submission of data to various tax departments during assessments
• Monthly GST calculation and GST return filing,
• Follow up with tax authorities for orders and refunds.
• Monitoring the open tax litigations status and updating the Management on regular basis.
• Reconciling the TDS account of the bank with actual TDS certificates, TDS Returns and Tax Returns.
• To Ensure the Tax filings, Payments are done within the deadlines.
• Prepare a reconciliation with the Financial Data for all the Tax filings,
• Assisting in management of various aspects of Corporate taxes with the help of tax advisors, liasioning with regional tax team for tax queries and clarifications on tax issues.
3. Month-end Activities: -
• All the month end closing activities including monitoring of control accounts as per Local GAAP
• FX sell down, capitalization of assets purchased, reconciling Fixed Assets Register with accounting system.
• Perform P&L Variance analysis with Budget and MOM
• Review of all Balance sheet Ledgers and suspense accounts
4. Yearly Activity: -
• Preparation and Submission of Financial Statements to RBI on yearly basis.
• Provide the details required by Statutory and Internal Auditors on the Financial statements.
5. Other Activities:-
• Fine tuning / automating various processes which require considerable amount of man hours, implementing check and controls in existing processes to ensure improved data quality.
• Coordinating with various audit teams viz. statutory auditors, tax auditors, RBI inspectors; providing them the required data and resolving the queries raised by them.
• To provide relevant information required on the existing process by the management for performing Impact analysis for New products or system replacement.
Profile required
Academic Background (degree and major): -
• Chartered Accountant/BCOM
• Relevant qualifications under the RBI Capacity Building Policy.
Relevant Working Experience in number of years: - 2 to 3 years’ experience CA
Skills & Competencies required: -
• In depth understanding of various Tax Laws
• In depth Knowledge on Local GAAP, INDAS & IFRS
• In depth understanding of Management Reporting / Budgeting Process
• To deliver under pressure meeting stringent deadlines
• In depth Knowledge of Financial Reporting to RBI
Language Skills: - English, Good written and Verbal skills
Computer Skill: - Excellent knowledge on Excel, PowerPoint, Access
