Within Société Générale Corporate and Investmentbanking (CIB), join as a VIE, the Financial Crime Unit Department (FCU) in Frankfurt.

You will join the local Financial Crime team, which supports all business units in the Frankfurt branch (> 500 employees) regarding Financial crime risks, such as AML/CTF, SAN&EMB and ABC.

As a VIE, you will be part of the local FCU team, who covers the following business units: Global Banking and Advisory (GLBA), Global Markets (MARK), Global Transactions & Payment Services (GTPS) and Securities Services (SGSS) in Europe, Frankfurt.

As a VIE your main responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Working on KYC onboardings and reviews

  • Handle AML and Sanctions related alerts

  • Complete Controls within the Global Permanent Supervision

  • Produce (and support with) reports for Head Office and local management

  • Assist in projects, e.g. risk analysis (local and from group)

  • Assist in preparing employee trainings on AML, KYC, S&E

You will mainly work with the FCU team, which consists as of today of 4 team members and where required with contacts in the Head Office or project teams.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

  • Graduate with a Bachelor or Master degree from Business/Engineering  School or University with a specialization in Finance
  • Experience in compliance (e.g. KYC, S&E, AML) or project management
  • Strong writing and research skills as well as attention to detail
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • MS Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint proficiency
  • Fluent in English, German skills are clearly an advantage

The VIE assignment in a nutshell :

This VIE in Frankfurt is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
