Responsibilities

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Client and Industry analysis: conduct economic and industry research, prepare company profiles, follow emerging industry thematics and market intelligence in the context of the origination and execution of transactions.
  • Liaise with business lines: work in close cooperation with other business lines including Infrastructure, Asset Backed Product, Real Estate, DCM and Energy. Understand the business offering with the ability to communicate the bank’s value proposition to expand opportunities with clients.
  • Credit and risk: support business lines on credit and risk related issues when required by the credit process including undertaking due diligence analysis. Prepare and present considerations for transactions involving financial institution clients.
  • Document review: evaluate various documentation, including information memorandums, term sheets, non-disclosure agreements, financial statements (balance statements, Profit and Loss statements), due diligence materials and other finance documents for first level assessment of client review
  • Client intelligence & coordination: build knowledge of all financial institution portfolio clients and actively look for business opportunities, contribute to briefing notes for c-suite meetings, attend key client meetings and follow up action points.
  • Liaise with stakeholders: Develop and maintain strong relationships within SG and with existing and prospective clients to assist with business growth. Coordinate with internal functions to obtain all required approvals for the execution of transactions.
  • Presentation materials: contribute to high-quality pitch books and other marketing material for internal and external presentations.
  • Data management: complete client database updates and coordination, revenue tracking and budget forecasting.

Profile required

QUALIFICATIONS, KEY SKILL AREAS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline (Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Economics or Law)
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in investment banking or related field
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong numerical skills and an understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements, cashflows
  • Solid credit analysis skills
  • Working knowledge of financial products such as DCM, derivatives, corporate & structured finance, project finance, trade finance
  • Preferably, some deal experience and knowledge of financial products
