BRD Groupe Societe Generale is the second largest bank in Romania in terms of assets, as well as one of the most important players on the Romanian corporate banking market.

The department of finance in Bucharest is in charge of Financial Performance Management according to several dimensions. Its main missions are the following:

  • Planning: Building the budget & financial strategic objectives in coordination with Business Lines and in consistency with the strategy of the bank & Delivering regular financial forecasts
  • Steering: monitoring actual financial performance in profitability (according to local and SG metrics);  challenging and monitoring the financial impacts of projects through business cases (in both revenues, OPEX and CAPEX).
  • Reporting and providing regular insights to support decisions of BRD’s management (according to relevant axis: segments, channels, products…) & creating favorable conditions for efficient discussions on performance with stakeholders (Management, Business Lines...)

Within this department, the VIE will have the following repsonsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and manage a cost assessment system for each process
  • Participate in workshops and meetings dedicated to each process studied, in the grouping stage of macro activities
  • Make the necessary temples for the measurements
  • Consolidate and analyze the results from FO / BO / HQ
  • Calculate the cost per process and builds PL on the activities on purpose

Profile required

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance
  • A previous experience in Controling would be appreciated
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office
  • Fluent in English

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in BRD Finance is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
