Summary of the key purposes of the role
Primary functions consist in:
assisting the team professionals in the origination process, for the purpose of determining suitability of deal structures for syndication, advising on pricing and distribution strategy;
assisting the team professionals in the execution of transactions falling within the scope of the team’s responsibility, whether SG has a leading role or is invited in participation;
assisting the team professionals in maintaining relevant and adequate databases in relation to the loan syndicate market.
Summary of responsibilities
In this role, primary responsibilities will be to:
Maintain databases of benchmarks regarding pricing and structure of loan transactions;
Prepare on regular basis loan syndication market updates for internal and external purposes;
Draft pitch documents;
Prepare draft syndication and underwriting memoranda;
Review or prepare (as appropriate) term sheets and offer letters;
Prepare information memoranda to be circulated to potential lenders;
Assist in negotiating or reviewing legal documentation, as appropriate;
Ensure appropriate briefing of and close co-ordination with Distribution team;
Follow up with invited banks and assist in answering their questions;
Co-ordinate the execution process with the client/distribution team/internal and external counsels under the supervision of the senior members of the team;
Co-ordinate with back and middle offices to ensure the good execution of the deal.
Prepare internal reports and permanent supervision documents.
