Responsibilities

The Global Business Service Unit (“GBSU”) department has worldwide responsibility for supplying Global Banking and Investor Solutions (“GBIS”) with all the technology and operations resources necessary for them to function under competitive conditions in terms of technological standards, service quality and cost.

GSBU/FRM/CCR/AME is the team designing, deploying and supporting the production tools and applications for the local credit & counterparty risks perimeter.  The current role is based in Montreal and the resource will join a team of approximatively 6 members, all of them working closely with the extended AMER CCR team based in New York and the PRD teams located in Paris and Bangalore.

As a PRD support analyst, you will be working closely with our clients from Middle Office and Front Offices departments to provide solutions to meet their credit risk reporting and analysis needs.

Main tasks include, but are not limited to :

  • Act as the main point of contact for business users (risk officers, traders) in AMER region.
  • Be responsible for software releases, configuration, monitoring, and support of all production system components and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot technical or functional issues in a complex financial environment to provide timely resolution, with various applications and platforms that are global.
  • Respond to end users within timeframe dictated by the severity of the problem, and document and track (case histories, issues, and action steps) the response.
  • Work with users to understand and gather their needs in our catalogue. Then participate on the required developments.
  • Get in touch with our teams abroad to deploy and adapt existing processes and tools.
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of DevOps trends, experiment with and learn new CI/CD technologies.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise to produce and promote maintainable and quality solutions. Includes documenting system requirements and documentation of support run book.
  • Communicate with users regarding application outages.
  • Understand regulatory environment and constraints.

Profile Required

Competencies  Required:

Technical skills Required: 

  • Experience working with relational databases, excellent SQL skills.
  • Experience with Python
  • Comfortable working on Windows environment (.Net, Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS) and UNIX.
  • Experience with one or more: Source control management systems (GIT); quality (Sonar), Continuous integration (Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of Tibco suite (EMS, RDV)

Desired/Plus :

  • Angular or any recent front-end language is a plus.
  • High-level programming background in structured, object-oriented language (C, Java)
  • Experience with concepts and literature related to credit and counterparty risks
  • Knowledge of US or international financial regulations

Education Required: 

  • Bachelor of Computers Science or other related university degree

Languages:

  • The candidate has to be bilingual (French : development & support team located in Paris, English : Business users located in US + part of the support team in Bangalore)
