Application Support Analyst

Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Responsible for applications used by traders, sales and middle office, and risk

• Responsibility includes software releases, configuration, monitoring and support of all production system components and infrastructure.

• Support, develop and maintain multiple code bases, build systems, own related processes and deliver frequent releases with high quality.

• Ensure system availability, performance, capacity, and monitoring through proper response to incidents, events and problems.

• Troubleshoot technical or functional issues in a complex financial environment to provide timely resolution, with various applications and platforms that are global.

• Develop applications to automate manual operational tasks as well as build custom real-time monitoring tools and reports.

• Partner with application support/development teams in New York and Paris.



Profile Required

Experience Needed:

• DevOps, Support or Developer experience across different stages (inception, analysis, design, implementation, runtime, maintenance and support).

Technical Skills:

• Programming background in scripting language (TCL, Perl, Python, PowerShell, etc.) or in a structured, object-oriented language (C#, Java, ASP.NET 2.0, etc.)

• Comfortable working on Windows environments.

• Experience working with relational databases, excellent SQL skills.

• Deep understanding of the Agile and Continuous delivery

• Experience with one or more: 

o Source control management systems (ex : GIT, Subversion, TFS); 

o Continuous integration (ex :Jenkins, Docker, TeamCity, Chocolatey), 

o SQL Server Data Tools (ex: SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS)

• Self-directed, independent and comfortable in a fast paced, ambiguous and matrix environments.

• Can manage multiple tasks and use judgment to prioritize and escalate to achieve desired outcomes.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


Desired / Plus:

• Knowledge on Capital Market and Investment Banking Activities.

• Knowledge of credit risk concepts

• Experience with credit risk systems 


Educational Requirements:

• Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science or related concentration
