Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities –

Dedicated Hadoop Administrator to assist with Technical Guidance & Architecture on Big Data Platform
Supporting Application teams on Data Ingestion into Big Data Platform using HDF and other HDP components (Kafka, Storm, Spark, etc.)
Supporting Application teams on Data Governance and Data Quality using HDP Components and Integration
Application Deployment, Data Ingestion, Data Storage & Data Access Authorization (Sqoop, PIG, Hive, HBase, Ranger etc.)
Big Data Platform Administration and monitoring (Ganglia, Nagios, Splunk Dashboards etc) recommendations & implementation
Supporting Application teams on Job Deployments, Failed Jobs, Log Analysis, Access Issues etc.,
Global End User support on Big Data Platform
Ensuring Availability and Reliability of Data & Analytics Systems

9. Contribute to new Product validation, implementation & Knowledge Transfer (KT)

Profile required

Mandatory Skills / Experience – (4-5 years of experience)

1. Strong Knowledge of Bigdata Architecture & Administrator's role

2. Expertise in installing Hadoop Cluster and its related components

3. Configuration and Performance Tuning of Hadoop Cluster

4. Manage, Maintain, Monitor and Troubleshoot Hadoop Clusters

5. Data Ingestion, Data Access & Data storage using Hadoop tools like HBase, Flume, Kafka, Nifi, ElasticSearch

6. Application Deployment using JAVA & Python APIs

7. Cluster Connectivity, Security, Backup and Disaster Recovery

8. Strong knowledge on LDAP related tasks/activities

9. Good Scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, Anaconda, Ansible

10. Knowledge on Automation/DevOps Tools Github, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes

11. Knowledge on Kibana, Talend, Graphana, Control-M

12. Excellent communication skills

13. Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail

14. Ability to work well in a global team environment
