Application Support Engineer - DevOps

You will work on the marketing websites used for B2C activity on equity and exotic derivative products issued by Societe Generale Investment Bank. The websites handle more than 250.000 products that are priced every second and each price tick is displayed in real-time on the website alongside with other information relevant about each product. In total, we manage >10 websites for all the countries where these products are sold. If you want to have a look, you can start at our country selector: and then navigate to each country.

What you will do:

• Involved in level 1/2 production (and non-production) environment monitoring, incident resolution, troubleshooting and requests handling;

• Act as the main contact for business, development team and infrastructure teams;

• Continuously improve and automate monitoring and alerting;

• Develop and maintain the tools necessary to manage the environments;

• Release deployments in production & UAT;

• Automate & continuously improve the deployment process;

• Participate, by rotation, in disaster recovery exercises and other weekend operations;

• Handle the application access rights;

• Be responsible for the in-house CMS (Content Management System) configuration on product classification menu, product attributes, banners, editorials and adverts;

• Document incident patterns and solutions/workarounds to solve them;

• Work with Continuous Delivery and Agile methodologies.

Profile required

• At least 2-3 years’ experience with application support;

• Good knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Windows Server and/or IIS (Internet Information Services);

• Basic knowledge of HTML and XML;

• Good communication skills & ability to summarize key messages, curiosity and patience to investigate complex issues;

• Client-driven approach & service oriented;

• Knowledge of Powershell, basic networking and scripting or willingness to learn;

• Advanced HTML skills;

• Experience with a monitoring tool (ideally Geneos) and automated deployment tools (ideally XLDeploy, Jenkins), ServiceNow;

• Some experience with Microsoft Visio & Photoshop.
