Responsibilities

Within a Milan based finance team (DFIN) covering accounting and treasury activities, you will be a ALM (Asset & liability Management) Analyst. 
You will contribute to the ALM analysis and reporting of SGSS Italy.


As such, you will participate in:

•    Analysis on liquidity topics, with particular attention to Funding figures (volumes and related cost), business line segmentation, Net interest and Transformation margin, regulatory cost.
•    Monitoring, backtesting and periodical review of the statistical model underlying SGSS Spa's ALM management 
•    Calculation of LCR and NSFR ratios 
•    Analysis of alternative financial investment instruments, 
•    Budgeting, forecasting on main liquidity topics
•    Provide support in the preparation of the ALM Committee with dedicated focus on the monitoring of the ALM statistical model, but also including research of macroeconomic, interest rates and market data in order to contribute quality analysis and forecast

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Economics or Statistics
  • A previous experience as ALM analyst is not mandatory but would represente a competitive advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel and data management tools (SQL, Alterix, Power BI) 
  • Fluent in English and some bases in Italian (A2)
  • Team spirit, positiveness, innovative mindset, change management, rigorousness and transparency
  • Understanding of ALM topics, liquidity risk, financial investment instruments, macroeconomic and interest rate dynamics


The VIE assignment in a nutshell :


This VIE in Milan is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignmen
