Responsibilities

Main Mission:

Our company is searching for an Associate Compliance Officer to guarantee that our business processes and transactions follow all relevant legal and internal guidelines.

Under the supervision of the Senior Officers in charge, your duties are to perform the workplan of second level controls for Compliance domains, in order to assess independently the first-level of control framework implemented by SG Milan, in order to prevent non-compliance to occur and to ensure that SG Milan operates in compliance with the regulations which apply to the Group and the entity.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Senior Compliance Officers in charge, to perform the workplan of second level controls for Compliance domains and in particular:

  • Perform second level control missions by an assessment of first level of controls framework through their design and their results (including the Testing part as described in the methodological guide) and by performing architectural reviews, aiming to reduce the related business risks as regards the SG Directives, Instructions and Procedures;  
  • Identify areas for improvement in order to strengthen and ensure compliance if need be of the first level control set up for SG Milan;
  • Participate to the presentation of results of second level controls that are made to the controlled units;
  • Contribute to the deliverables (notably reporting) to be transmitted to the respective BU/SU and SG Milan management bodies in terms of results of second level controls reviews.

Profile Required

Studies & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business management or a related field;
  • 5-8 years proven experience in a Wholesale Banking in terms of operational risks and controls management.

Language skills:

  • Written and verbal language proficiency and communication skills in both Italian and English;
  • French would be an advantage, but it’s not a requirement.

Technical & Operational Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of banking and financial environment (business skills, operational risks, controls);
  • Capacity to analyze situations and operations, to synthetize;
  • Fluent in control activities, dealing with tasks with precision and diligence.

Soft skills:

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with multicultural teams;
  • Solid oral and written communication skills;
  • Professional, highly-analytical approach with strong attention to detail;
  • Strong team player while preserving confidentiality;
  • High ethical behavior.
