Singapore Permanent contract Risks


  • Responsible for middle office functions supporting Structured Finance business lines with a focus on energy, metals and mining, infrastructure, and real estate.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (such as front office, risk and compliance, back office and finance) to ensure transactions are smooth during the lifecycle of the deal.
  • Process amendments, waivers and consents for assigned transactions by preparing credit memo and obtaining all required internal credit approvals from front office team and credit risk department.
  • Prepare annual credit reviews (including financial analysis, financial model projections, rating assessment and proposal/recommendation) for assigned transactions.
  • Follow the risks of the counterparties (covenants follow up, collateral valuation, Unlikely to Pay events management, etc)
  • Responsible for credit monitoring and reporting including Watch List Triggers and Early Earning Indicators.
  • Perform quarterly watchlist and default reviews and present the same in meetings with the Business Line and the Credit Risk department.
  • Contribution towards various portfolio management reporting tasks (ad hoc client requests, specific request for internal partners, scarce resource management).

Profile required


  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a financial background
  • At least 3-5 years with an investment bank, corporate finance or similar financial institution role with structure finance experience. Candidates from a risk management background familiar with project and structured finance transactions will also be considered
  • Experience in energy (oil & gas, renewable), metals and mining, infrastructure, real estate or shipping sectors preferable
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent credit analysis skills
  • Proficiency in financial modelling (with Excel), VBA preferable but not necessary
  • Familiarity with loan and project documentation drafting and transaction documentation process
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills

The Risk Managers in the Middle Office team works on the middle office activities for the structure finance transactions within the Global Banking & Advisory business (GLBA). Structured Finance covers various sectors including energy, metals and mining, infrastructure, shipping and real estate. The Middle Office team in Asia covers the full APAC scope including Australia/New Zealand, Hong Kong/China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, India, and other South-East Asia locations.
