Associate Vice President – Correspondent Banking & Trade Services, Societe Generale Bank
Responsibilities
Job Summary:
- Assist in marketing Correspondent Banking & Trade Services to Indian banks, financial institutions & Corporates
- Customer service to banks maintaining accounts with Societe Generale (SG).
- Cross selling & supporting function for related SG products
Main Responsibilities:
1. Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities:
- Enhancing NBI for the department through consistently building and maintaining client engagement
- Maintaining updated information on the banking industry.
- Responding to queries raised by clients.
- Corresponding with Head Office for the limit requirement of SG India.
2. Operational Objectives
- Pursue actively the client engagement program at branch levels of banks (meetings) designed at the beginning of the year for enhancing business.
- Support HOD in Organizing Seminars/Workshops for banks/corporate when required
- Ensuring 24 hrs. turnaround to Enquiries
3. Management Objective
- Providing information / statistics to Head Office related to correspondent banking & Trade Services
- KYC Documentation for Financial Institutions & compliance checks required from time to time
- Permanent Supervision Checks in alliance with HOD
4. Cooperation Objective
- Work closely with various SG Business Lines to develop their business also.
- Work closely with Operation Team for execution of transaction within the TAT.
- Cross Selling of other BL products
- Organization of Client Workshops
Profile required
Academic Background (degree and major):
- Post Graduate / Graduate
Relevant Working Experience in number of years:
- Minimum 8 years of work experience in Trade Finance or Correspondent Banking
Skills & Competencies required:
- Operational/Product Knowledge of International Trade and knowledge of EUR nostro services
- Thorough Knowledge of Banking Sector
Client-:
- Ability to satisfy clients/ internal partners while taking into account risks for the company
- Sound understanding of Trade Finance products and operations
- Knowledge of local regulations like FEMA and RBI regulations
- Knowledge of UCP 600, URDG 758, URC 522
- Good communication skills (written & spoken)
