Under the responsibility of the Head of Region or the Head of Country to whom he/she reports, the Auditor Supervisor:

  • is in charge of performing the risk assessment on the scope assigned or contributes to it
  • contributes to elaborating the audit plan
  • contributes to planning and staffing assignments

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Having regular internal contacts with IGAD management (Head of zone, Head of Region, Business Correspondent, IGAD transversal functions)
  • Having regular contacts with the management of auditees during the assignment and the risk assessment
  • Ensuring the quality of the audit works of the assignment and the respect of deadlines
  • Validating the assignment report and submitting it to the Head of Region
  • Participating in the main debriefings of the assignment with the managers of the audited department
  • The Supervisor can be entrusted by the Head of Region or the Head of Country also with the responsibility to manage directly a group of employees

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Master’s degree in Economics or Finance:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a senior internal auditor or supervisor in banking sector 

Language skills:

  • Fluency in English and Italian
  • French would be a plus

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Very good knowledge of banking and financial market
  • Be familiar with any laws, regulations and professional standard
  • Rigor, reliability and tenacity
  • Analytical and synthesis skills
  • Very good oral and written communication skills
  • Assertiveness
  • Ability to take some distance with the subject
  • Critical attitude and curiosity
  • Team spirit
