Responsibilities

Mission:
Under the responsibility of the Head of Region or the Head of Country to whom he/she reports, the Auditor Supervisor:
- is in charge of performing the risk assessment on the scope assigned or contributes to it
- contributes to elaborating the audit plan
- contributes to planning and staffing assignments
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Having regular internal contacts with IGAD management (Head of zone, Head of Region, Business Correspondent, IGAD transversal functions)
- Having regular contacts with the management of auditees during the assignment and the risk assessment
- Ensuring the quality of the audit works of the assignment and the respect of deadlines
- Validating the assignment report and submitting it to the Head of Region
- Participating in the main debriefings of the assignment with the managers of the audited department
- The Supervisor can be entrusted by the Head of Region or the Head of Country also with the responsibility to manage directly a group of employees
Profile required
Studies & experience:
- Master’s degree in Economics or Finance:
- At least 5 years of experience as a senior internal auditor or supervisor in banking sector
Language skills:
- Fluency in English and Italian
- French would be a plus
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Very good knowledge of banking and financial market
- Be familiar with any laws, regulations and professional standard
- Rigor, reliability and tenacity
- Analytical and synthesis skills
- Very good oral and written communication skills
- Assertiveness
- Ability to take some distance with the subject
- Critical attitude and curiosity
- Team spirit
