Responsibilities include assisting the Head of Bank Regulatory Compliance in providing oversight of SGUS lending and deposit business activity through:
Advising and assisting the SGUS businesses on the applicability of banking rules to transaction structures or business activities, and provide advice on development of internal controls and procedures
Assisting team in the creation and performance of 2nd line monitoring controls to detect and mitigate bank regulatory compliance risk
Assisting team in the creation and maintenance of periodic Compliance reporting and presentations
Reviewing policies, procedures, and training material to promote the applicability of bank regulations and control framework to identify and mitigate risk
Perform periodic presentations and training to Compliance Senior Management, Compliance Advisory peers, and the business, as necessary
Engaging with the Compliance Regulatory Change team, the Legal and Risk Departments to monitor U.S. banking regulations with an impact on SGUS banking activity
Revising relevant Bank Regulatory Compliance owned policies and procedures as applicable rules and regulations or firm practices change
Participating in special projects in support of the larger Compliance Regulatory Oversight team.
Competencies:
Posses an understanding of various U.S. bank regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Regulation W, Anti-Tying, and Regulation B.
Ability to understand and communicate with subject matters experts and stakeholders with respect to bank regulatory compliance requirements and other U.S. legal and regulatory topics
Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

Qualifications (Experience, Education, Languages):
Bachelors Degree
JD or other advanced degree a plus
5+ years experience in Financial Services or related industry
