Bond Syndicates Trainee

Responsibilities

An opportunity to join a team responsible for the placement of bond transactions for financial institutions. The candidate will be working in a fast paced environment and gain first hand experience of the marketing, lead time and execution of bond transactions ranging from unsecured to deeply subordinated bank debt. In addition the candidate will gain a strong understanding of the market for fixed income product and will interact with origination, sales and trading teams across a strong European Fixed Income franchise.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Preparation of regular pricing updates to be reviewed by other members of the team
  • Ensuring record keeping required for individual transactions is complete
  • Interactions with other teams to provide syndicate input for marketing
  • Upkeep and development of relevant databases and pricing tools

Profile required

Required skill sets:

  • Fluent English speaker
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Numerate
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong excel, powerpoint essential, VBA and any Bloomberg experience beneficial
