Responsibilities

The Agile Business Analyst, as a functional specialist, interacts with the Product Owner and all other members of the Feature Team to help understand and define business needs and then design solutions in line with business objectives.

Profile required

Business needs analysis

  • Analyze business needs according to the priorities given by the Product Owner
  • Study the impacts of business needs according to the options, the risks and the costs
  • Help Product Owner and the team to break down the needs into detailed "stories"
  • Translate needs into user stories

Functional design of the product

  • Work closely with stakeholders to provide a coherent, comprehensive and understandable order book and backlog
  • Support the team's knowledge of the business process with the help of the Product Owner
  • Seek to determine whether solutions currently exist inside or outside the business entity
  • Understand technical constraints and participate in product design
  • Prepare design options
  • Contribute to exchanges and collaborate continuously with stakeholders (PO, BAs, Agile developers...), communicate and advise team members on the functional aspects
  • Use the UX Designer to create prototypes to be implemented by developers using agile methods such as design Thinking or UX Design

Testing activities 

  • Conduct testing activities according to best practices and processes, from the definition of the functional tests strategy to performing the tests
  • Contribute to the design of test cases, test plans and test data
  • In continuous collaboration with developers /Software Engineers, carry out the tests (manual or automatic) according to the development practices (e.g. Behaviour Driven Development / Test Driven Development)
