Responsibilities
Finance DTO (Digital & Transformation Office) is dedicated to the Finance Department (DFIN) to help define its vision and support its transformation. DFIN/DTO is in charge of Finance project portfolio and leads business transformation projects.
Partnering with both regional and global teams, DTO defines the business requirements for Finance projects (regulatory, efficiency, control improvement, implementation of finance systems) and oversees the project implementation.
In addition, DTO leads both business and digital transformation initiatives for Finance that and plays a key role as a control tower supporting the senior management of the Finance department.
As part of the global team, DFIN/DTO in Americas (covering U.S., Canada, and Brazil) manages the projects in the investment and corporate banking domain with following competencies:
- Accounting
- Financial & Regulatory Reporting
- Performance Management
- Digital Transformation and Process Reengineering
- Data Management
- Operating Model and Change Management
Some examples of projects/activities the DFIN/DTO in Americas is engaged are:
- Lead transformation initiatives for Finance department (both process enhancement and information systems projects) by providing preliminary studies in all fields – write business requirements and test cases.
- Partnering with IT department in information systems projects that impact the finance department – lead the functional design, benefits analysis, UAT, and change management. Monitor the project execution (project plan, issues resolution / escalation) and provide close support to Finance sponsors during the project life cycle.
- Conduct studies (strategic, tactical, assessment) as requested by DFIN senior management.
- Lead digital transformation – facilitate implementation of data analytics and BI tools
- Work closely with global Finance project teams in the global transformation programs - new accounting rules (IFRS, French, or US GAAP) and/or regulatory reporting process.
- Interact with Operations (Middle and Back Office) and Front Office to assess the impact of new business and implement the appropriate downstream processes (accounting, regulatory, liquidity, capital, etc.) where necessary. Provide impact analysis for Finance processes and lead the change management for the users within Finance department.
- Lead and participate data quality improvement initiative for Finance
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Become one of team members to work on finance projects on FCM domain
- Primary tasks as Business Analyst within DFIN/DTO team include but are not limited to:
- Lead and participate in the Finance projects by working closely with DFIN departments. Provide studies (gap analysis, due diligence, impact analysis) and business requirements; coordinate UAT and lead change management within Finance domain.
- Act as central coordinator for the business process and organizational changes and provide management support
- Participate and contribute to Finance global programs by leading regional gap analysis, process review, impact assessment, and implementation.
- Lead and contribute to accounting engineering projects (accounting norm changes, accounting process improvements, etc.)
Profile required
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must Have:
- Confidence in interacting with various levels of users and ability to make a presentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Understanding of Investment Banking and corporate banking products (equity, fixed income, derivatives, loans, etc.) and front to back process
- Accounting knowledge
- Experience in process improvement analysis and business process reengineering.
- Project management skills
General/Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI)
- Minimum 3 Years of Experience within product control, corporate finance, or control functions
- Maximum of 10 Years of Experience
- Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related fields
- Language: English
Nice to Have:
- Broker-dealer experience, especially in the FCM domain
- International banking experience
- Big 4 working experience
- Experience in GMI, Alteryx, SQL, PeopleSoft
- CPA, CFA, FRM designation
- Language: French
