Description of the Business Line or Department
GBSU/REG implements all necessary means to ensure the SGCIB regulatory compliance. In a very unpredictable and unstable context, the regulatory evolutions in Europe as well as in the US imply very important changes for our activity, impacting our business model, producing new reporting and other obligations with huge impact on our processes. As we deal with many products, all new regulations impacting us, on a worldwide perspective. The regulatory projects management impact different stakeholders as Front office, OPER, Compliance and IT team.
In London, the Operations Regulatory Reporting Production team are responsible for ensuring SGIL meets its regulatory obligation for key regulatory reports including MiFID, DFA and EMIR reporting. For EMIR reporting this includes an obligation for reporting on behalf of other affiliates as well as delegated reporting where the client has elected for this option.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
Working as part of GBSU/REG Team, you will be a dedicated resource responsible to deliver change management related to EMIR reporting stream. The role will also involve working closely with IT teams, Compliance, other areas of Operations and the business.
Main stream of work includes the EMIR REFIT changes and support the business in their client and business migration activities from a regulatory perspective.
Summary of responsibilities
Business Analyst focused on Regulatory Reporting projects for the SGIL perimeter. Main responsibilities include:
• Analyse the impact on the business and assess the technical changes
- Translate regulatory reporting rules and requirements into impact analyses, functional designs and estimates
• Understand the upstream trade flows of the products in scope of EMIR, DFA and SFTR
• Represent GBSU/REG in cross department meetings, working groups and project steercos
• Develop and maintain QA plans(Test scenarios, Test cases, test execution)
• Coordination of different teams work(onshore & off shore). Maintain delivery plans and track issues.
• Maintain high level design documentation detailing message and data flows, application interfaces and operating procedures
- Identifying requirements for resolving such issues, carrying out UAT when necessary and liaising with the rest of the team with respect to prioritisation of release and post production checkout.
- Prioritise, investigate and remediate issues and develop control improvements –Involvement in the longer-term strategic development of the transaction reporting and related systems.
- Involvement in change affecting the existing process, whether internal such as systems, business models, new products) or external (such as market or regulatory changes) as well as new regulatory reporting obligations
- Assess the impact of the client and activity migration from a regulatory perspective, and lead the implementation of the required changes.
- Be flexible in contributing to other activities in the team when necessary, for example analysis required for queries received from the Regulator.
- Responsibility for ensuring that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal Policies that relate to you, your business or other businesses for which you have any level of responsibility. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with operational risk requirements (e.g. Golden rules, security policies and regulatory requirements).

SQL skills. Ability to query databases and large data volumes.
• Must possess awareness of the underlying investment banking business and associated middle and back office data flows as well as the in scope financial products.
