Graduate with degree level qualification, ideally in a financial discipline, from a top University, Business School and/or Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA) or IIA qualified.
Knowledge of regulatory landscape (mainly FCA but also potentially US regulators). In addition, comfortable and experienced with audit methodologies in other banks, including strong experience of Conduct Risk and Market Integrity Regulatory Compliance frameworks in Investment Banks, specifically:
- Trade & Communications Surveillance
- Control Room/information barriers
- Conflicts of Interest
- Personal Account Dealing
The ideal candidate may have experience, but not necessarily, as:
- Compliance Officer (e.g. Capital Markets Advisory or Surveillance specialist)
- Second level controls testing
with involvement in:
- developing or reviewing Surveillance framework, gaps in coverage
- building a multi-year audit programme covering Conduct & Compliance topics
A risk mindset: be able to clearly identify key risks, key controls and gaps/breakdowns.
Work with confidence and demonstrate excellent organisation, with proven time management skills.
Demonstrate attention to detail but can summarise and communicate key messages succinctly.
️ Affinity for working within technical applications and dealing with large datasets.
Proficient/good command of MS Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint and Visio) and data analytics tools.
Python, R or similar language is an advantage, although not essential.
Fluency in English is required, French is a plus.
