Description of the Business Line or Department

Societe Generale International Limited (SGIL) is Societe Generale’s primary booking hub for listed execution, clearing and financing activities within Societe Generale Global Market and a fully owned subsidiary of Societe Generale.

SGIL primarily supports the Prime Services & Clearing (MARK/PSC).

Societe Generale Prime Services & Clearing business line is situated within the Equity & Equity Derivatives division, where it is central to our client offering. SG Prime Services is a global, multi-asset, multi-instrument offering, providing prime brokerage services on a single sophisticated and transparent platform catering to all client segments. It offers market-leading and flexible solutions for execution, clearing, custody, financing and cross margining across Listed Derivatives, Equities (Cash and Synthetic), FX, Fixed Income and Cleared OTC.

As part of these activities, SGIL holds the general clearing memberships of European CCPs and holds client accounts for both CASS segregated and non-CASS segregated clients.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

The CAO office manages numerous branches of the business and is ultimately responsible for the performance of the following departments: Operations, Information Technology, Human Resources.

The role will consist in assisting the Deputy CAO of SGIL in running the CAO Office.


Summary of responsibilities

The day to day responsibilities are to assist the deputy CAO in the following areas:

·         Help structure and run the governance of the entity (Committees planning, etc)

·         Coordinate initiatives to help business and strategic planning (e.g. Outsourcing functions)

·         Organize and coordinate transversal / cross functions topics

·         Resolve issues that may arise in a timely manner

·         Assume responsibility for timely reporting to senior management

·         Assist in other tasks (e.g. facility) as assigned

Level of Autonomy and Authority

A chief administrative officer must be self-driven and able to work independently.

It is expected from the candidate to able to organise his/her work, through the identification of the expected outcomes, and defining the plan to deliver.

Good decision-making skills and analytical thinking are required to operate autonomously.


Profile Required

Competencies

·         Good understanding of Investment Banking environment and their business functions (Operations, Finance, IT etc.). Understanding of Prime Services (execution, clearing and financing) is a plus.

·         Proficient in MS Office and databases

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability in decision-making and problem-solving

·         Excellent organizational skills

·         Flexible and Adaptable

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Solution-focused, service-oriented and proactive

·         Team player, proactively  shares information and collaborates with others

·         Ability to be able to work independently on multiple conflicting priorities and under pressure until completion

·         Capability to prioritize and organize

·         Language requirements (English is the business language for SG).
