Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Maintain various reporting controls on data quality and model behavior;
  • Work on control framework projects on improving transversal data review efficiency, data quality and documentations;
  • Oversight to Offshoring team support, including daily data quality control team and daily report production
  • Supervision of staff level (1-3) expected

    • Oversight responsibility with offshore teams

  • Subject matter expert to support production team across reporting streams including daily funding dashboard reporting, daily cash flow forecasting reporting and liquidity stress testing report production
  • Liaison on improving production issues including system feed issues, manual adjustments and follow up on related data enhancements with system projects;
  • Assist in regulator reviews and internal audit reviews;
  • Participate in projects of system automations and enhancements, and model user-acceptance-testing (UAT);
  • Work on short term solutions to stabilize data reporting by use of Alteryx or other tools, including macros/pythons to facilitate reporting process needs; and
  • Utilize knowledge of financial products (derivatives, equity and fixed income securities, structured products, broker dealer activities including prime brokerage and FCM activities).
  • Interface with the Data Governance & Standards Officer for updates to standards, policy and procedures

Profile required

Desired / Plus:

  • Strong accounting and finance background and experience in Liquidity reporting, Liquidity stress testing– and also the products and processes associated with a Broker Dealer.
  • Knowledge of USGAAP and IFRS, CPA a plus
  • Product knowledge in Broker Dealers --- derivatives, loans, funding vehicles, currencies, fixed income, equity securities and commodities.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting in liquidity risk management, stress testing and other relevant compliance requirements (e.g. SR11-7) a plus
  • Strong Excel skills, familiar with Alteryx
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with aggressive deadlines

Business insight

The team is responsible for both liquidity risk production and credit RWA (Risk Weighted Asset) risk/accounting reconciliations functions.  Liquidity Reporting production is responsible for producing, reconciling and distributing Daily/Weekly/Monthly liquidity reports to SG’s ALM and RISK teams as well as senior management and regulators.  It has three primary functions in that they have a dedicated daily dashboard produciton, a liquidity stress testing and a FR2052a regulatory report. Credit RWA team serves quarterly function on RWA reconciliation to facilitate head office reporting.  Other functions include overseeing system integrations/enhancements, e.g. account conversion for back office systems. In addition, the team interfaces with regulators and business support for reviews, examinations as well as reporting requirement changes.  This role serves as a dedicated manager focused on control framework and data control reconciliation for the respective reports as well as across the liquidity reports.  This role has oversight to our offshoring support functions
