Cash Management Sales Associate

Responsibilities

Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work with the Inbound PCM Sales Mangers on client proposals including Treasury solutions, cost/benefit analysis, pricing, and profitability models, etc

  • Collaborate with Inbound PCM Sales, along with the GLBA and BDDF corporate bankers, throughout the sales cycle to manage/update pipeline and ensure services and pricing are set up timely and accurately

  • Coordinate with internal partners to ensure successful implementation, product ramp-up and accurate pricing/billing

  • Keep PCM Templates updated: pricing, internal presentation, external pitch…

  • Keep log, follow up and ensure credit risk renewal are processed and implemented

  • Recognize a client's cash flow needs and apply appropriate banking solutions

  • Time management, organizational and planning skills with proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Assist with client call/meeting preparation by creating relationship review materials, pitch books, global account plans, Conduct market and customer researches to detect opportunities within current portfolio of bankers and Global Cash management SalesManage existing and keep a file of prospective/new clients Support Inbound PCM Sales on client request, ensure follow up is timely for all client requests

  • Keep updated client complain and incident folder

  • With the feedback of Inbound Sales Managers, proceed and ensure controls are processed on a timely manner

Support Head of GTB and Head of PCM AMER for internal and transversal projects of GTB/NY

The candidate must be truly a strong sales associate with an understanding of cash management, liquidity and credit risk management.

The candidate must be mindful of the legal and the compliance local constraints.

Internal communication is key, so the candidate will be asked to write meeting minutes and other type of reports to support Inbound PCM Managers .

Possible evolution to a Sales position.

COMPETENCIES

Required:

  • Very good understanding of US and International Cash management

  • Financial basic knowledge are required

  • French speaking is a plus

  • Understanding of Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC) / Working Capital arrangements

  • Pro-active team player

  • Credit risk management experience is needed. Assessing and managing risk and from a product, liquidity/ commercial perspective

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and superior analytical and quantitative skills

  • 2 + years experience in client management experience

  • Able to provide Best in Class proposals for high profile clients

  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills for pitching (English as first language), other languages could be useful for this position.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage change, innovation and multitask requirements

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders

  • Comfortable and confident to speak / present to clients and also SG senior management

  • Good cooperation with GTB NY staff included the middle office and operations

  • Travel might be required

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Required:

  • US Cash Management: US Cash Management

    • Good knowledge on US Cash Management, market standard and practice

    • Good knowledge on payment and collections systems in the US along with the various connectivity/ channels in the marketplace:

      • Wires

      • ACH

      • Wholesale Lock box

      • Remote Check Deposit

      • Connectivity: ebanking, Swiftnet, Host to Host

  • International Cash Management:

  • SWIFT

  • SEPA

  • Faster Payments

  • Liquidity Optimization solutions: International Cash Pooling, Notional pooling, Virtual accounts

  • Payment Factory, In-House Bank and Shared Service Center concepts

  • Awareness

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • 3 + years in Cash Management for corporate clients

EDUCATION

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.

Desired: CTP / International CCM

  • Certified SWIFT for Corporates

  • Speaking French and /or Spanish is a plus but not a requirement

The candidate will have a strong and proven experience in PCM, from a product and sales support level, from an International Bank. The experience would include supporting sales people on major US and International cash management deals with namely US headquartered and MNC clients and accountability for briefing memos, global account plans and Pitch Books, while ensuring coordination among product partners, compliance, risk, legal and management and other internal partners to develop client solutions. As a member of the team, the position plays an integral part to help gain, manage and maintain the relationships.   This role allows an individual to develop skills over time for a successful career within the firm and to pursue more senior roles within PCM such as a sales manager position.
