Responsibilities

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) in Asia is in charge to implement and adapt the global GBIS's Information Systems (IS) Strategy to the Asia region by defining, measuring and implementing IT standards, norms and policies for IT Production, IT risk, technology and development practices.

The CIO is responsible for ensuring the needs of the Clients, local market, and regulation are fully taken into account by the regional project and support teams as well as the Global product CIOs (based in Paris HQ), and for ensuring that GBIS’s global technology strategy anticipates and enables the development of the business in Asia.

To support you in this mission, the CIO Apac has a direct supervison and management of :

  • Architecture and Data Team (ADS) in charge of designing and implementing the GBIS data and IT architecture strategy in the region
  • Digital Strategy Team (SGM) in charge of defining and executing our SG Markets digital strategy in Asia
  • IT infrastructure team (GTS) in charge of delivering and supporting infrastructure services in Asia

To share and implement the global and regional IS Strategy, the CIO is in charge to lead and animate a transversal community of Technology experts and managers in Asia.

The CIO Asia Pacific is regulated with a Manager In Charge (MIC) of Technology and Infratsructrure role toward HK Branch (HKMA) and Securities (SFC) regulators.

You are directly reporting to the Chief Operating Officer in Asia (GBSU Asia COO) and functionaly to the GBIS CIO. You are a member of both GBSU Asia and GBIS CIO Global Executive Comittees.

Profile required

  • 10-15 years experience in Finance industry working/leading IT teams
  • Significant experience of working in a senior technology role in a matrix organization
  • Deep Technical and Functional knowledge of CIB Informations Systems 
  • Strong Communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated experience to deliver services and solutions
  • Ability to manage and control budget and costs
  • Culturally sensitive; able to manage and lead people in a multi-cultural environment

Department Description
As a CIO, you will join the GBSU Service Unit (Global Business Service Unit) in charge to deliver day-to-day services to GBIS Business Units in Asia. The department  is composed of around 600 Staffs (IT & non-IT) in Asia Paciffic and responsible together with the BUs and SUs of the transformation and production.
