Citrix Expert

Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a Senior-level Citrix expert with both operational and design engineering responsibilities in a Windows Infrastructure environment
  • Emphasis on Citrix Xen App and Xen Desktop application virtualization to allow Windows applications to be accessed via individual devices.
  • Focus on automation and DevOps within the Citrix Perimeter
  • Work closely with both IT and business partners to design and implement solutions supporting business needs
  • Ability to multi-task and manage operational and project related tasks/responsibilities
  • Must be able to act autonomously and manage projects efficiently
  • Responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting complex Application connection / performance issues
  • Ensures all production changes are made in accordance with production lifecycle methodology and risk/change management guidelines
  • Participate/Contribute with after-hours/weekend work in rotation with all members of the team
  • Engage in global projects and client deliverables.
  • Review and write Operational Procedure liaising with Paris counter-parts.
  • Escalate incidents at rights level; to Control-Towers, and/or Management when appropriate.
  • Review incidents on weekly basis to improve monitoring and reduce number of tickets.
  • ITIL is a plus (Incident, Problem, Request, Change Management) 

Citrix Management

  • Administer/Support Citrix infrastructure
  • Provide L3 support for incident management
  • Provide support to application teams for management of their applications
  • Review capacity planning
  • Responsible for maintaining and supporting the Citrix Application Virtualization environment
  • Application virtualization support
  • Support for critical in-house projects
  • XenServer and XenDesktop support


Other responsibilities depending on candidate’s experience:

  • This role requires the ability to explain & justify design decisions to IT peers and articulate the advantages and risks of alternative solutions
  • The senior expert will provide technical mentoring to other team members within the department and actively participate in architecture reviews/strategic development activities
  • Provide reports as per the management and compliance team request.

Profile Required


  • Must have hands-on knowledge of Citrix technologies (NetScaler, Xen Apps, XenDesktop)
  • Exposure to other infrastructure areas including: Active Directory, VMware, NAS Storage, Backup & Recovery, SQL Server, etc.
  • Active Directory, DNS), scripting PowerShell and Agile methodologies a plus
  • Several years of experience within IT Operations, infrastructure services support on below main technologies and expertise on below:
  • Integrate and package application in Citrix
  • Support users for L3 Citrix incidents
  • VMware and Virtualization VDI
  • Windows operating systems and related technologies (AD, DNS, NTP, DHCP, file system...)
  • Automation skills/ Scripting skills in VBScript, CMD, Power Shell.
  • Basic understanding of Project Management.
  • Must be able to demonstrate deep technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong autonomy
  • Team player


  • Ivanti RES Profile Management experience
  • Specific familiarity with Ivanti and MS Office products
  • Architecture/design and implementation experience
  • Experience with Ivanti, Scripting, Active Directory
  • Knowledge of NetScaler
  • Agile practices are a plus
  • Your client oriented, and you’d like to teach and explain in a simple way complex problematic
  • You are comfortable using communication tooling (like PowerPoint, digital tools, workshops, …)

French written and spoken is a plus


  • Minimum 3-5 (Intermediate) 7+ Years (Senior) level 3 infrastructure support
  • Minimum 3-5 (Intermediate) 6+ Years (Senior) Citrix infrastructure support.
  • Minimum 2-4 Years’ Scripting/PowerShell development.
  • Minimum 2-4 Years’ Windows Server 2008 R2 installation and support.
  • Minimum 2-4 Years’ XenServer installation and support.
  • Minimum 2-4 Years’ XenDesktop installation and support.
