During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:

CONTENT CREATION

  • Propose stories and posts to be used both internally and externally.
  • Record and edit videos to be used internally or externally.
  • Assist the internal communications team in the design and distribution of content via the intranet and email newsletters.
  • Help the Americas communication team to translate English content in French when needed.
  • Participate in the SG Americas Editorial Committee, helping develop ideas for both internal and external content.

EVENTS COORDINATION

  • Assist with the coordination of events such as diversity month, Town Halls, TechFairs and much more.
  • Work with key Diversity Groups/Employee Resource Groups to develop content for both internal and external channels provide assistance with the organization of potential events (Zoom, communications…).

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Assist in the implementation of various projects (implementation of new tools is an example).

Profile required

Profile

You graduated with a Master’s degree in communication or related subject.

You have a first experience in communication.

You are fluent in English and French.

You are proficient with Microsot Office.

Required skills:

  • Writing (beyond fluency, must be a skilled writer who can produce stories and posts for both internal and external audiences)
  • Social media management (strategic approach across key platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram)
  • Translating (while not a daily need, there is a need for periodic translation of materials from English to French to use for our Montreal office)
  • Video editing (concepting, filming, and editing)

A plus

  • Knowledge in graphic design (Adobe Suite)

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Montreal is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
