Compensation Specialist

Main Responsibilities:  
  • Partnering with HR colleagues to support and implement the execution of global compensation processes (such as the annual compensation review, deferred compensation plans, McLagan and other providers (AonHewitt, Towers Watson) market benchmarking surveys, market intelligence, etc) in compliance with global rules and guidelines, tax and regulatory requirements
  • Create robust analytics and analysis to support regular processes (such as annual compensation review) and ad-hoc requests as needed to support the HR BPs and the business partners. Possess a strong attention to detail to mitigate reporting or analytical errors. Provide and share analysis to HR and senior management as required
  • Work on the development and enhancement of compensation programmes, guidelines, and policies to ensure competitiveness with market conditions, in compliance with regulation and linking it to business strategy and the global and regional HR roadmap
  • Develop and maintain relationships with HR BPs and country HR teams to support them and their businesses in compensation matters. Work closely with the Recruitment team supporting the proposed compensation levels for new hires and compensation policies.
  • Manage ongoing service provided by survey consultant (including McLagan, Towers Watson, etc), and provide advisory support and market intelligence capabilities to HR BPs. Maintenance and enhancement of the 'market intelligence tool'.
  • Control operational risk by performing different audit controls
  • Participate or lead HR projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned by HR management

Profile Required

Academic Background and Certifications, Experience:
  • University Graduate in Business Management, Mathematics, Human Resources or related discipline
Operational Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, with the ability to create complex formulae in order to produce analysis that can be easily understood, interpreted and manipulated by HR BPs and business partners.
  • Knowledge on compensation practice and instruments, especially deferred compensation, market benchmarking and related topics gained from at least 3 years experience in a financial services company or consultancy
  • Impeccable written and spoken English required.
