Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Partner with HR colleagues and the business to support and implement the execution of global and regional compensation processes (such as the annual compensation review, deferred compensation plans, benchmarking, market intelligence etc) in compliance with global rules and guidelines, tax and regulatory requirements
  • Share new ideas and thoughts on how we can leverage data analytics to further support our stakeholders, and work with colleagues to plan and implement these ideas. Prepare materials and training to our stakeholders
  • Support and in some cases lead on the development and enhancement of compensation programmes, guidelines, and policies to ensure competitiveness with market conditions, in compliance with European and local regulations; and linking this to business strategy and the global and regional HR roadmap
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regional and country HR teams, HR operations & payroll, in order to support their business lines in compensation matters. Work with other specialist teams, such as Talent Acquisition for new hire packages (including buy out calculations) and Talent, Development and Inclusion (talent review and promotions)
  • Support the wider team in other aspects of business as usual activities, such as job matching, market data review and analysis, year-end reporting, budget management and risk management
  • Lead on regulatory matters in our countries to ensure we are fully compliant and propose and implement action plans to rectify where required
  • Participate or lead HR projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned 

Profile required

Academic Background and Certifications, Experience

  • At least 5 to 8 years’ experience working in HR/compensation, either in-house or in a consultancy firm
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or relevant discipline with relevant work experience within a related HR function; a practical understanding of basic to intermediate statistical analysis methodologies will be helpful
  • Excellent grasp of written and spoken English (French would be an advantage but not a prerequisite for this role)

Operational Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, interpreting data and drawing out themes and key messages
  • The ability to create eye catching and well-presented memos and PowerPoint presentations, and present these in person/online to our stakeholders 
  • Knowledge of compensation practices and instruments, especially in regulatory framework, deferred compensation, benchmarking and/or other related topics

  • Comfortable chairing or participating in virtual or online meetings with stakeholders
  • Attentive to details and process driven
  • Able to collaborate and share ideas with others

Department Description

Reporting to the Regional Head of Compensation, the role holder will be responsible to participate and, in some cases, lead and implement compensation programmes and processes, depending on their complexity. They should feel comfortable with large data sets and be able to analyse, interpret and relay key messages to stakeholders in person or online, or via written materials. Additionally they will be responsible for ensuring we remain compliant in our countries from a regulatory perspective as well as leading on deferred compensation matters.

It is a complex matrix working environment that requires the role holder to be highly matured to work professionally with both functional and geographical teams in the region and in Paris HQ. Weekly calls in the evening with our Paris HQ are common (usually once per week).
