At Société Générale, you will be joining the Compliance Department. With some 78,000 staff members and operations in 64 countries, the International Banking and Financial Services business offers a wide range of products and services to 31 million individual, professional and corporate customers.

The work will concentrate on the activity related to the investment banking area:

  1. Implementation of SG Sales and Trading Handbooks and other related SG rules within the KB Investment banking environment - GAP analysis, communication with business owners of the rules (Investment Banking) and final implementation
  2. Implementation of SG Code requirements under Compliance responsibility (MiFID II, IDD, SFTR, regulatory reporting, etc.) and communication with relevant KB departments and Tribes
  3. Restructuring of IB deals for large local and international clients, liaising with SG CPLE/EUR  - assessment of the deals from Compliance point of view and their validation; key player in supporting the IB sales team.
  4. Management of insider information with SG relevance, i.e. GILT list - communication handling with SG Comtrol Team, advisory in terms of the rules for KB/SG employees.
  5. Active role and cooperation with Senior Compliance officer in Group wide projects, e.g. LAF, new regulatory projects like SFTR, SHRD II. or CSDR. 
  6. Regulatory monitoring of EU laws and consultation documents/guidelines published by European regulatory authorities (ESMA, EBA, EIOPA) in the relevant areas (capital markets, consumer protection, competition, payment services, banking services, insurance products, capital adequacy, etc.). Preparation of regulatory digest and communicating/presenting it to relevant stakeholders.
Advisory role in relevant areas, mainly with SG relevance and synergies (e.g. SG works in close cooperation with KB on the selected projects or transactions); communication with SG compliance supervisors

Profile Required

The VIE assignment in a nutshell  


This VIE in Prague is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see


Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University, majoring in Finance, Risk Management, Law, Compliance.

A previous experience in Compliance, Legal or Audit department would be appreciated.

You are fluent in English.

You are proficient in Office application.
