The Control Tower within the GBSU/CLD/KYC, specifically within the Existing Client Management - ECM (KYC reviews). The KYC function is a pillar of SGCIB’s anti-money laundering system. Its mission is to ensure the bank is compliant with its obligation of client identification and due diligence on a worldwide basis and to provide the institution with adequate and complete client information.

GBSU/CLD/KYC/ECM carries out the review process on a worldwide basis with three main missions within SGCIB:

  • Conduct the reviews of existing clients based on periodic cycle
  • Perform verification and controls pertaining to the identity and reputation of clients (customer due diligence) to ensure compliance of the Bank with regulatory obligations of vigilance; and validate the acceptability of the client relationship per internal compliance standards and procedures.
  • Ensure the relevance, quality and accuracy of main client description and categorization attributes in SGCIB and SG Group client data bases.

Profile required

As part of the KYC Control Tower he\she must maintain working knowledge on the KYC analysis, Client metrics, Population management, Restrictions and Reopen of clients, transformation and Governance and Controls.

  • Work with the Global Control Tower and Local Control Towers to animate the annual campaign life cycle. Work with global stakeholders for review follow-ups. Assist with the management of review file assignments re-balancing between different portfolios.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual campaign of the periodic reviews. Identify the scope to be delivered and allocate the reviews in the different regional portfolios
  • Define processes and framework with the complete functional knowledge on upstream and downstream processes.
  • Assist with the analysis of review indicators to identify root causes of poor performance of the review. Assist to monitor the set-up of corrective actions to meet the defined target by the function owner.
  • Liaising closely with process owners and process improvement manager/analysts, SMEs, IQA etc. to ensure all stakeholder MI needs are addressed
  • Ability to conduct business reviews and recommend improvements by analyzing business risks, efficiency and quality.
  • Challenge and recommend the existing process enhancements with the complete functional knowledge on upstream and downstream processes.
