Responsibilities

Compliance/ International Retail Banking/ Financial Crime (CPLE/IRB/FCC) is responsible for facilitating and monitoring, in all entities of the International Retail Banking scope, the compliance with regulations applicable to the fight against financial crime: know-your-customer (KYC) obligations, fight against money laundering and terrorist financing, and compliance with international embargoes and sanctions. Within CPLE/IRB/FCC, the Oversight team is in charge with overseeing the activities (supervision), reporting, and providing expertise on Financial Crime subjects to risk experts and AMLO’s of entities from the pillar. More specifically, the Oversight team oversees:

ü     Supervision of several perimeters: AFMO (International Retail Banking Africa, Mediterranean Basin, Overseas), EURO (International Retail Banking Europe), ALD Fleet Management) and SGEF (Societe Generale Equipment Finance)

ü     Supervision of Transaction Monitoring for Pillar entities from the SG Group

ü     Anti-money laundering officers for French regulated entities

ü     Coordination on RCI (Risk Compliance Indicators) campaign and analysis of campaign results (meeting with the concerned entities)

ü     Coordination of suspicious activity reports (monitoring & analytical reports)

ü     Reporting on politically exposed person clients

ü     Analysis on high-risk clients on AFMO BU

Presentation of the position

As a Controller IRB/FCC, the activity consists mainly in ensuring the performance of controls and the production of activity reports related to the supervision in the field of AML (Anti Money Laundering) performed by the bank's entities of detail to the international within AML tool. At the same time, it provides answers to questions from the Front Office and is responsible for level control, related to activities in this area.

1. Financial Crime data management and monitoring, including data collection from appropriate sources (SQL queries, data Warehouse, other data sources).

 Associated controls and deliverables:

- Completion of controls

·         Execution of controls on parameters Client Business Case (CBS) and Anti Money Laundering (AML): inclusion/ exclusion of operating codes, cash/ non-cash typology of operations, inclusion/ exclusion of accounting chapters, mapping customer segments and setting countries „ High risk " (in a first stage, before deploying within the entities)

·         Verification of good execution of controllers in entities

·         Discussion and analysis with the entities of any identified and unjustified deviation

·         Application, if necessary, of the remediation plan and related monitoring

·         Periodic reporting of the conclusions of the controls performed

 - Production of regular AML dashboard

·         Specific data (Automatic Reporting Utility files) reception and analysis and KPIs calculations: numerous alerts generated by the tool, declaration of suspicions, monthly processing rate, monitoring of a possible backlog

·         Analysis of the evolution of KPIs and discussion with Anti - Money Laundering Officer within the entity and financial crime unit of possible anomalies (unexpected volume increase, low processing rate)

·         Participation in defining possible action plans related to Anti - Money Laundering Officer in the entity and financial crime unit and monitoring the resorption of backlogs in case of production incidents.

2. Contribution to the preparation of Financial Crime Governance: Conformity Committee, Conformity Anti - Money Laundering Officer, Client Business Case, RTB (Run the Bank), EMEA FC (Europe Middle East Africa Financial Crime) Oversight meeting):  collect of information, Key Risk Indicators, slides-pack preparation and diffusion, monitoring of action plans defined in the previous meeting.

3. Communication management on the IRB perimeter, for example update Financial Crime EMEA SharePoint, maintain list of contacts. Redirect the requests that are not falling under team responsibility to the appropriate actors, in line with defined policies and SLAs. Analyze, query, and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures.

4. Contribution to regular oversight exercises on financial crime scope: QLB (Anti Money Laundering Questionnaire), capacity assessment, risk classification. Define remediation plans to improve data quality and monitor the roll-out of remediation plans. Stay aware of the Risk and compliance measures and flag any potential risks. Analyze the root causes of anomalies, identify corrective actions and work with various support teams to correct data quality errors

 5. Contribution to projects: procedures formalization, process optimization, ensure that the team process procedures are up to date.

•Good Excel ability (Excel VBA), Python, SQL

•Ideal capacity to create macro-PowerPoint presentations (clean presentations) and ability to strengthen their competence regarding the specific tools of the intervention area

•Knowledge of AML and / or Core Banking System Amplitude tools is a plus.
