The position is part of the Credit Management Group (“CRE”) of the Italian Branch of Société Générale Milano.

Mission: 

The mission is to manage the credit risk exposure on Italian Corporate Clients, working in close support to the Business Lines who offer to the Corporates the whole range of SGCIB’s financing and hedging products. 

The scope of the mission includes also the credit risk of Italian subsidiaries of Multinational Clients followed by other SG entities worldwide. CCG’s reporting line to Head Office in Paris is independent from the Italian Coverage functions, ensuring its full independence of judgment.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Produce the historical and projected financial analysis of the corporate clients assigned to her/him within a personal client portfolio to follow. The Analyst produces also the relevant industry analysis and peer comparisons, and also proposes and discusses the internal credit ratings with CCG’s manager and with SG’s risk control department in Paris
  • Contribute to optimize the structure of the deals in cooperation with the Relationship Managers and other involved departments such as Legal, Loan Syndications, Portfolio Management
  • Write the credit line requests from the Coverage and explain them to the ultimate decision-makers either in Milano or in Paris
  • Follow up and report about the credit authorizations, exposures and various risk – related global views to the Management of the Italian Branch and to Head Office

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • University degree in Finance/Banking
  • Successful previous job experiences for a period of 2/3 years in corporate credit analysis or in a similar environment that can be leveraged in this assignment

Language skills:

  • Very good command of English
  • Proficiency in French would be a strong additional advantage

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Autonomy

  • Reliability as a team player
  • Ability to work under occasional time pressure
  • Capacity to support personal opinion in a strong but constructive way when dealing with senior colleagues
