Responsibilities

The Corporate Finance department provides transaction advisory services to corporate clients of the bank with focus on Mergers and Acquisitions, Equity Capital Market transactions (Initial and Secondary offerings) and Debt Capital Market transactions (bond issues). Given the broad scope of work, the candidate´s learning curve is expected to be steep. The team consists of five motivated professionals and works together with experts from Société Générale on a daily basis. The office is seated in the very center of Prague.

Your main missions will be :

  • General supportive tasks to help the team effort
  • Analytical tasks (e.g. collecting and analyzing information)
  • Preparation of various documents (e.g. company profiles)
  • Collecting of information from public sources (internet, databases)
  • If adequate, support preparation of financial plans and/or valuations
  • Depending on skills, (assistance with) preparation of more complex documents

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance, Accounting, Business Valuation, Capital Markets or comparable fields of expertise
• A previous experience in Corporate Finance would be appreciated
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office
• Fluent in English 
• Team player
• Self motivated and disciplined
• Ready to take over ownership of outputs
• Analytical thinker

The VIE assignment in a nutshell :


This VIE in Prague is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
