Corporate Relationship Manager

  • To deepen the relationship with a portfolio of existing MNC clients with an aim of increasing commercial banking and investment banking solutions, with focus on trade finance, cash management, and various financing solutions
  • To originate new commercial banking and investment banking relationships with multinational companies in China
  • To identify energy transition related transactions together with business lines and Global Relationship Managers
  • To identify and realize cross-selling opportunities for prospects and existing clients
  • To work closely with product lines to win and deliver on new mandates, leveraging on the bank’s strengths worldwide
  • Respond promptly to overseas enquiries or referrals on banking services in China
  • Regularly communicate with Global Relationship Managers and update on local opportunities and developments and any change in global account strategy
  • To guide credit analysts to ensure credit proposals are structured and priced properly to protect the bank’s interest with acceptable returns, and in line with the global account strategy set out by Global Relationship Managers
  • To work and supervise credit analysts to complete credit proposals and reviews within reasonable turnaround time
  • To visit clients at acceptable frequencies and update on business development of the clients as required by management and RISK, as well as to identify and react to early warning signals on deterioration of counterparty risk and operational risks
  • Other ad hoc tasks / relevant responsibilities as assigned by the management

Profile required

Academic Background

(degree & major)

Bachelor’s degree or above

Working Experience /

Technical Skills & Know how

  • At least 8 years of banking experience, including no less than 5 years as a client-facing frontline banker, preferably with a major international bank
  • Sound knowledge of credit analysis, and banking solutions, particularly for various structured financings and investment banking contents
  • Deep knowledge of commercial banking/transaction banking products
