Responsibilities

SG CIB Turkey offers tailor-made financial solutions for its clients via its branch in Istanbul with a team of close to 50 professionals and leveraging on its international expertise in Investment Banking, Global Finance and Global Markets. Thanks to its longstanding involvement in the financing of important development and infrastructure projects in the country, SG CIB Turkey has built strong relations with the largest companies operating in the Turkish market. SG CIB plays a key intermediary role between issuers and investors, corporates and financial institutions, offering issuers a broad access to markets and offering investors smart solutions and access to investment opportunities.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Conducting research and news run, drafting presentations for pitching clients, preparing briefing memoranda for use of internal clients, and as requested by CORI bankers [Use CRM tool in order to keep track of client relationship information (contact database, shared Goals, call reports, pitches)
  • Assisting to the development of budget exercise, monitoring the evolution of project pipeline, keeping record of overall NBI production and Gross Client Profitability per customer, monitoring counterparty exposures and concentration issues
  • Developing a good understanding of the strategy, the organization and the business of the client, as well as its competitive position on its sectors of activity
  • Following up of legal processes for loan documentation and other legal documentation, including, GMRA, ISDA, CSA
  • Following up of collection of updated compliance and legal documents from clients (documents required for internal processes such as KYC)

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Solid academic credentials. Penultimate year student preferably in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering (with Accounting or Finance courses)
  • Availability - minimum 3 days / week

Language skills:

  • Turkish is a must
  • Fluency in English

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • High degree of numeracy and well-developed analytical skills that put you ease with financial data
  • Ability to summarize and present complex issues concisely
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Result driven and able to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines
  • Strong interest in economic and financial developments, globally and in Turkey
  • Committed and motivated individual
  • Proven team player
