Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in the Netherlands (SG CIB) is a provider of innovative solutions, advisory and capital market products, serving the needs of corporations and institutions through: Investment Banking, Global Finance and Global Markets.

The internship is due to start in November 2023.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support RMs in daily client coverage
  • Prepare and update presentations for client pitch
  • Update local Risk management file for local regulatory authorities
  • Assist in KYC process
  • Analysis and reporting support
  • Coverage and Risk Management support
  • ESG & Sustainable Finance:
    • Review client ESG strategy and help draft ESG memo
    • Help in drafting ESG newsletter and collaborating in ESG committee
    • Supporting and find new business opportunities on ESG space and energy transition
  • Analysis and reporting support:
    • Follow-up of the profitability realized by customer and reliability of the data
    • Estimation of future customer profitability over the current semester and year
    • Monitoring of consumed capital (Risk Weighted Asset) on the Commercial Banking portfolio and quarterly and annual estimation of this capital
  • Follow-up of the overall customer relationship:
    • Management of commercial information on customers
    • Support for commercial actions and assistance in writing client presentations for top management in connection with the bank's various business lines (M&A, ECM, DCM, Cash Management, market activities)
  • Management of commercial banking operations:
    • Pricing simulations and negotiations considering regulatory banking constraints
    • Calculation of the profitability of new operations and capital mobilized
    • Follow-up of operations throughout their life
  • Monitoring and update of the Risk management support framework

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Bachelor or Master in Finance or Business

Language skills:

  • Fluency in English
  • Any other language would be a plus

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Knowledge of Office Pack
  • Motivated
  • Methodical
  • Eager to learn
  • Team spirit
