Responsibilities


The Analyst, handling a portfolio of Financial Institutions in Asia & Pacific has primary responsibility for:
  • Continually monitoring the health of individual counterparties and the overall portfolio
  • Preparing annual reviews of counterparties to assess credit quality and recommend appropriate credit limits. 
  • Reviews should take account of regulatory changes including potential bail-in mechanisms, resolution frameworks and integrate the impact of Basel 3.
  • Proposing internal counterparty credit ratings in Starweb.
  • Handling credit requests for one off credit approvals by providing an appreciation of transaction risks and current counterparty credit metrics
  • Ensuring overdue credit renewal files and ratings do not exceed pre-determined thresholds.
  • Anticipating negative developments in the portfolio and proposing preemptive measures to best protect SG Group’s interests
  • Monitoring and analyzing exposure.
  • Overseeing negotiation of legal documentation for counterparties and reviewing margin disputes which might indicate liquidity shortcomings.
  • Identifying (for Business Lines) the identities of financial institutions 
  • Maintaining proactive communication with RISQ and Senior bankers.
  • Providing Business lines with guidance and feedback to improve ‘RISK Culture’ throughout SG.
  • Organize contact with Business Lines as appropriate to maintain effective dialogue.
  • Proposing credit policy in coordination with coverage

Profile Required


  • Understanding of financial statements and banking products.
  • Ability to highlight key risk issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and make independent recommendations/decisions.
  • Ability to work in a team as communicate efficiently with RISQ partners
