Responsibilities

The role is to assist of the credit risk team of SGLB in maintaining and enhancing a portfolio view of the credit risks generated by SGLB’s activities. This entails producing regular management reports regarding key credit risk metrics, to be used by the SGLB Risk Management Committee, SGLB RISQ management or SGLB Executive Management. Regular management reports will be supplemented by ad hoc analyses as required, covering specific parts of the portfolio (Business Lines, Sectors etc) or as part of stress testing.


During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:


- Liaising with Paris-based RISQ/CIB staff work on the SGLB-specific credit risk reports (systems, templates and methodologies)
- Working under the supervision of the SGLB Head of Credit risk to develop additional reports as required (stress tests, forward-looking analyses, ad hoc reviews)
- Liaise as required with other RISQ/UK staff members to deliver on shared RISQ/UK objectives 
- Liaise as necessary with other SGLB teams as needed to share metrics
- Support the credit risk team in the enhancement/automation of the different reports and tools
- Assist the credit risk team in the preparation of presentations dedicated to credit risk topics


Profile Required

Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University, majoring in Finance.

A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.

You are fluent in English.

You are proficient in Office application.


The VIE assignment in a nutshell  

This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.

Business Insight

At Société Générale, you will be joining the Risk department. Its job is to contribute to the development of Société Générale’s business and profitability by defining the Group’s appetite for risk, in liaison with the Finance department and the core businesses. The Risk department is also responsible for implementing the system used to control and monitor risks.


Department is RISQ/UK. The role will have a direct reporting line to the Head of Credit Risk for SGLB.
