Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

Working closely with businesses across different areas of responsibilities, which are aligned with global data strategy principles (e.g. present and execute a data plan for approval by respective senior leaders).
Provide data support on strategic rollout within the organization, such as delivery and operational management of modern data capabilities to ensure APAC data platform, pipelines and services are scalable and secure serving multiple users and use cases within the business.
Anticipate key changes in the constantly evolving APAC data landscape and develop strategic action plans based on the assessment of such changes.
Ensure all parts of the business are effectively instrumented and at the right level of maturity.

Business and Partner Leadership

Engage with businesses, develop and build innovative Data Solutions for internal Partners.
Delivery of approved data centric metrics.
Define and deliver agreed benchmarks and scorecards with all APAC data partners.
Inspire and engage with the local and global teams and the functions they represent to develop and strengthen data framework priorities for data development.
Manage relationships for all APAC strategic data use cases.
Be the voice of data in APAC.

Data Operational Activities

Deploy and sustain data solutions across APAC.
Coordination of agreed data resources.
Develop market leading data propositions and handle a Data Analytics strategy.
Chart the path for data operational design, delivery and its integration with other SocGen functions and ensure data literacy benefitting the bank including the design and integration of technology and data services.
Champion data design & architecture that builds for flexibility and using open data frameworks & technologies.
Deploy the data framework in Asia leveraging on global and local expertise

People Activities

Help develop data office team in Asia Pacific against strategic people goals set by the division and group in terms of data literacy.
Focus on data talent development across teams in the Asia Pacific region by being a data mentor, trainer, coach and guide.

Profile required

Profile Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in applying data science to optimization problems in the financial industry.
Respected technical leader with strong leadership skills and experience.
Hand – on experiences in programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C#), analytical and project management skills (e.g. Agile) for a variety of tasks or projects.
Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets, variables and situations where only limited standardization exists.
Extensive expertise in data technologies and the use of data to support software development, advanced analytics and reporting.
Experience with Cloud Technologies (Azure)
Experience and capability in translating non-technical user requests into complex technical specifications and solutions that meet these requirements.

Department Description
The bank is growing its technology capacity to support transversal functions within sgmarkets.com platform components and drive public cloud adoption. Architecture team within Technology department needs to reinforce to create and support components used by the whole bank. Within Engineering department you will work on several innovative components used by thousands of users.
This team has mandate to explore all pertinent solutions and collaborate with subject matter experts in the departments they are supporting, and deliver strategic value for the bank in quick iterations.

This is a great opportunity for technical expert passionate about IT technologies who want to make an impact both locally and globally within the Bank. We are looking for a technical expert with Agile developer background who are curious to understand and challenge processes, propose creative solutions, know or want to learn technical IT architecture.
