Responsibilities

You will be onboarded in the Digital Workplace Services that develops and maintains end user services (Desktop, collaboration, archiving...). The team is composed of 20+ Administrators using Agile framework.

We are looking for a virtualization engineer with some experience in Windows technologies and solutions. The candidate should have a good technical background in virtualization technologies to provide support and deliver project work prioritized by the product owner.

You will have the opportunity to work on latest technologies for regional projects with a good level of autonomy in order to propose and innovate to achieve the right value for our users. You will be exposed to a rich multi-cultural environment and be able to develop and learn latest methodology to improve productivity. You will be in a team composed of strong expert that will help you to growth in the various technologies through coaching and training.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate an understanding of ITIL practices, be familiar with change/incident management processes and Agile methodology including planning, stakeholder management and communications.

Main responsibilities of the team:

  • Support production platforms across all products under the department’s responsibility (include Support, Weekend operation)
  • 3rd Level support for desktop, virtualization, and ecosystem services in Asiapac
  • Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop VDI
  • Servers in Public (Azure) and Private cloud
  • Desktop engineering
  • OS imaging service (desktop master)
  • SCCM
  • Intune
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection
  • Printing service
  • Office 365 services
  • Identity management
  • cripting
  • Operational tasks such as upgrades and maintenance for desktop services in Asiapac
  • Manage/Support projects from planning and stakeholder management through to execution and communication for new initiatives desktop & ecosystem services in Asiapac.
  • Design, test and implement news solutions for product under its direct responsibility
  • Work in close relationship with other IT teams to ensure client requirement and expectation are mutually agreed
  • Deliver continuous improvement of the products under its direct responsibility (efficiency, new features, self-service etc.)
  • Monitor all technical platforms, for quality and continual service provisioning, including tracking and alerting 
  • Create and maintain technical documentations as well as provide regular training to desktop support teams
  • As a member of team within an Agile framework, it is expected from the candidate to have a strong willingness to learn about new technologies, new way of working and share his own experience/knowledge as required by the team to deliver the product. In a self-managed environment

Profile required

Academic background and Certifications, Experience:

  • College degree such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience within IT Operations, infrastructure services support on below main technologies and expertise on below:
  • At least 5 years of experience on virtualization technologies
  • Experience with an Agile framework employing SCRUM methodology would be a plus

Operation Skills:

  • Virtualization Engineering
  • VMware vSphere/ESX
  • Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop
  • Windows server/client basic support
  • Windows related technologies (DNS, DHCP, DFS, NTFS)
  • Scripting skills such as DOS, VBS, PowerShell
  • Management of cloud environments (Azure).
  • Able to demonstrate technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills a must; can present formally or informally
  • Not afraid to raise issues and drive change to remove impediments from the teams
  • Has a passion to share knowledge amongst the community. 
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment 
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to communicate well in a team environment.

Optional but will be a plus:

  • Knowledge of Ivanti User Workspace Management
  • Knowledge of Citrix Netscaler ADC
  • Knowledge of Nutanix
  • Knowledge of SCCM client/server administration and software packaging
  • Knowledge of Intune administration.
  • Web server technology (IIS) and SQL queries
  • ITIL foundation knowledge

As part of the SocGen's IT and Operations department, the FPS team oversees development and support of tactical and strategic front-office tools used by traders market making equity derivatives in Asia.

We are looking for a strong hands on technical lead to drive our busy agenda consisting in rolling out our new state of the art market making system, enhancing our data analytics platform and supporting an ever growing business.

The successful candidate will be able to influence strategic technical decisions made in this area, work with modern technologies on cutting edge software, lead and influence a team of 3 to 5 developers.
