Responsibilities :

There is an open position at Societe Generale to join our team of an experienced individual in structuring and lead our structuring efforts for the Greater China area.

This role is for Finance professionals who: 
•    have a demonstrated experience in delivering structure investment and derivative financing or hedging solutions, including on a cross border and cross asset basis; 
•    have developed substantial knowledge of the Chinese markets (HK/Taiwan/PRC)
•    have already developed a solid knowledge in (a) issuance vehicles, including the use and structuring of local special purpose vehicle or vectors (LiCai, PPSD, NPPSD), and (b) TRS, repos and securities lending solutions, including on a cross border basis and/or locally documented (SAC, NAFMI);
•    be knowledgeable of credit exposure reductions solutions, especially on a cross border basis (Top up/down, Recouponing, Independent Amount, Initial Exchange, Resets…)
•    lead, coordinate and own the delivery of transaction and/or projects, coordinating efficiently with different parts of the bank, including support functions (legal, compliance, risk) as necessary
•    have a curious and open mind, combined with a transparent and rigorous approach to project management and implementation.
•    Drive the product push to sales and participate to financial institutions and professional investors commercial effort / pitches.
•    Contribute and influence the GRC strategy,  establish itself and be recognized as the GRC specialist, projecting knowledge and articulating synthetically to peers and management.

This role involves for our clients in Greater China:
•    the supply of cross structuring solutions …
•    the development of new products and delivery formats … 
•    regulatory and accounting advisory.

As the role involves the structuring of complex and innovative solutions, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellence in execution in any legal format and structure for complex or flow transactions.

The position requires the candidate to speak and right Mandarin and English fluently.

Profile required

Profile Requirements:

•    Knowledge of cross border legal, accounting and regulatory issues; 
•    Previous experience of working in-house in either an investment bank or other relevant financial services environment, including experience in working with different internal departments and functions and ability to work on the trading floor; 
•    Demonstrable ability to deal with work promptly, accurately and in conformity with the internal guidelines of the Corporate and Investment Banking Division; 
•    A proven ability to exercise prudent commercial judgement while managing legal risk. 
•    Understand/learn the financial, legal, regulatory and fiscal problems relating to the structuring and sale of structured products;
•    Have or is able to complete a good knowledge of the different asset class products (credit, fixed income, forex, equities, commodities,  indices…) and structures/wrappers commonly used (e.g. SPVs, OTCs, funds …); 
•    Proven analytical, computer and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills are required;
•    Flexible, organized and pragmatic, you have excellent analytical skills and a creative and curious mind. Learn fast different subjects for which you may not be a specialist.  Your relationship skills and your team spirit will be major assets in a demanding international environment.  
•    You have the ability to lead, conduct and deliver transactions and projects from definitions to final launch leading and collaborating with other department of the banks.  You have interfaced with clients to finalize trades. 
•    You have the ability to design and successfully implement solutions targeted to certain class of clients (insurer, banks, funds in particular) having regards to their internal requirements (regulatory, accounting, operational, as relevant), while ensuring that these are scalable and repeatable. 
•    You have the ability to organize and scale up new transactions into repeat business.
