Responsibilities

Primary Objectives:

  • Responsible for the Electronic Coverage of SG Global Execution Clients in Asia Pacific Markets.
  • Perform execution consultancy to the SG electronic client base, focused primarily on Cash Equity (scope to expand responsibilities to include Listed Derivatives coverage), in the delivery of best execution.
  • Monitoring clients’ DMA & algorithm orders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Contribute to sales-origination effort for the eCOV business in Asia Pacific, focusing on SG’s electronic services offering, across both cash equity and listed derivatives.
  • Handle aspects involved in the execution consultancy model, including pre and post-trade advisory, TCA generation and delivery, and ensure liaison with SG’s Middle & Back Offices on trade processing.
  • Develop knowledge of client needs and requirements and co-ordinate coverage effort in order to improve client experience and take-up of SG electronic solutions.
  • Work closely with the broader electronic sales and trading team, and back-up other team members to ensure a high-quality
  • and consistent client experience.
  • Work closely with Business, IT and Support Functions as part of continuous improvement of the SG electronic offering.

Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the electronic coverage of SG institutional clients
  • Primary product being Cash Equities, but knowledge of Listed Derivatives also additive and will form a core component of this cross-product role, subject to candidate’s experience.
  • Work with internal team on aspects of SG’s eCOV TCA infrastructure and servicing/consultancy to clients on the platform.
  • Co-ordinate the pre and post sales service to customers, as well as the trading function.
  • Contribution to the Sales and Product Development effort.
  • Knowledge of operational workflows (trading, settlement, technology)
  • Key assistance on ad-hoc special projects including, but not limited to, working the with Algo Factory on platform and product enhancement initiatives.

Profile required

Key Skill Areas & Knowledge Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years in an equity trading or sales role at an Investment Bank, on the High Touch, Program Trading or Electronic desk.
  • Knowledge of trading Asian markets and market microstructure, including core fundamentals of algo-trading.
  • Understanding of client relationships within the Asian Equities community, Institutional Asset Managers and hedge Funds.
  • Good understanding of equities trading, algorithmic trading, micro-structure, transaction cost analysis, and associated trading parameters.
  • Basic knowledge of listed derivatives and synthetic equity products would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of global equity markets.
  • Strong relationship, communication & organizational skills.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar.
  • Industry qualifications, including appropriate licenses to trade in Regional Equity Markets (as required).
  • Fluent in spoken and written English is mandatory. Fluency Cantonese and Mandarin would be additive.
