Responsibilities

Description of the Business Line or Department

Department is RISQ/GBR. The role will have a direct reporting line to the UK Head of ERM.

RISQ’s organisation in the UK is commensurate with the activities carried out locally and the nature of the risks thus generated. RISQ provides the appropriate level of expertise and decision-making capacity needed locally.

The RISQ department is composed of 5 teams: 

 

-   RISQ/DIR/PAG: in charge of credit risk assessment and validation, portfolio analysis and reporting 

-   RISQ/RMA: in charge of risks on market activities, including Credit Counterparty Risk on Hedge Funds 

-   RISQ/OPE: in charge of operational risks, including supervision of outsourced risk processes 
RISQ/COO: providing transversal support, reporting and monitoring risks inherent to the Department

-   RISQ/ERM: in charge of the framework and strategic steering and the regulatory oversight for RISQ


Summary of the key purposes of the role

The enterprise risk management framework includes a risk governance structure, organisation and procedures that enable to understand, oversee and assess all critical risks.

As part the RISQ/ERM function, the purpose of the role is to develop and maintain the risk framework and the strategic steering, this includes:

-   Implementation and monitoring of the standards for the RISQ normative documentation (Risk Appetite Framework, Risk Management Framework) and ensure consistency with the Group normative documentation (SG Code, RAF Group…)

-   Coordination of the Risk Appetite process

-   ICAAP

-   Foster risk culture and a sound governance / organization, independently from RISQ “functional” departments


Summary of responsibilities 

Within the RISQ/ERM department, your role includes:

-   Coordination, communication and updates of the normative documentation, this includes but is not limited to the Risk Management Framework and the Risk Appetite Framework.

-   Coordination of the Risk Appetite process

-   Risk identification and risk cartography

-   ICAAP (contribution and challenge)

-   Risk reporting and monitoring

-   Ensure an accurate risk governance structure is in place, with a clear and shared view on the risks’ coverage, comitology for risk management and escalation processes mechanisms

Foster a risk culture via the development and implementation of regular assessments and risk culture communication campaigns (questionnaires, UK staff updates…)


Level of Autonomy and Authority

Working under the supervision of the head of RISQ/ERM.
