You will be in charge of these responsibilities:

Permanent Control framework

  • Provide assistance to operational managers in all Business and Support Units regarding the design of Level 1 controls and provides support in the definition of the most appropriate forms of control to maintain risk at the accepted level.
  • Manage the governance on the APRC referential (Activities x Processes x Risks x Controls) in order to manage the evolutions of the Americas blueprints and the BCN (Control norms library), ensure exhaustiveness and integration into the different levels of control and to ensure the alignment of SG America’s Permanent Control framework and Enterprise Risk Management framework.
  • Manage change management around the PC setup when necessary (project delivery, evolution of the framework, SG Group norms and standards updates…).

Analysis & Reporting

  • Contribute to produce dashboards and analysis regarding the results of Level 1 and Level 2 controls.
  • Develop an end-to-end vision of the control framework, performance and results in order to identify the areas of vulnerability from different perspectives (activities, processes, risks, control objectives).
  • Consolidate and tracks the action plans derived from the risk assessment and control performance.
  • Organize awareness campaigns among employees and managers on the performance of controls when necessary.

ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) automation, data and analytics

  • Participate to the conception and roll out of the enterprise-wide risk data architecture within the GRC framework.
  • Elaborate user requirements, interactions with business analysts and developers.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Test (UAT) for elements of the GRC framework.
  • Implement and roll out of user data and analytics solutions and reporting.

Profile required


You are graduated with a Master’s degree in Finance or related subject.

You ideally have a first experience in working in Risk Management, Financial Control Systems or Operations in a Capital Markets context.

You are proficient in Microsoft Office and VBA.

You are fluent in English.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Montreal is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
