You will be in charge of these responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: identify issues and design technical solutions to improve Risk Management efficiency and capabilities.
  • Automation: analyze and extract relevant information from business data to help automate and optimize key processes.
  • Data: contribute to the data management of the team, including data collection, preprocessing, visualization, and indicators/metrics computation.
  • Reporting: build insightful reports and dashboard to improve ESG Risk Monitoring efficiency, improve tracking of Key Performance Indicators and Key Metrics, and improve reporting capabilities.
  • Model: design, develop and evaluate innovative models for predictive learning.
  • Interact with Risk Analysts and Business Lines to understand business issues and actively define and implement solutions.
  • Best practice: research E&S Risk Innovation trends and topics through networking, conferences, and assess applicability to SG’s risk management culture.
  • Industrialize: connect with standard budget process to integrate successful MVP into Business and Support Units.
  • Train Risk Analyst to make a better use of technology and to adopt a data driven mindset.

Profile required


You are graduated with a Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Sustainability, Environment, Data Science, Engineering or related subject.

You ideally have a first experience in the corporate and investment banking industry or related industries/sectors.


  • Proficiency in data analysis, data management, risk analysis and modelling.
  • Good knowledge of web-based technologies.

A plus

  • Experience in programming (Python, R).

  • Experience or knowledge in writing and tuning SQL.

  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies, ML libraries, NLP libraries.

  • Knowledge of sustainability.

  • Experience using data visualization and Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).

You are proficient in Microsoft Office.

You are fluent in English.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Montreal is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
